Osteopathic Manual Treatment
Your first consultation
We will ask questions about your current problem, your medical history, medications and any recent X-rays, scans or test results that you may have.
Full osteopathic examination will be performed involving diagnostic, orthopaedic or neurological tests, postural assessments and activities or exercises, which will help determine how best to manage your condition.
As osteopathy takes a holistic approach to treatment, we may look at other parts of your body, as well as the area that is troubling you. For example, if you have a sore knee, your ankle, pelvis and back may be contributing to the presentation.
Also, we will provide education, advice and exercises to help you manage your condition between treatments. After examination we will explain the diagnosis and proposed plan of treatment.Treatment will be performed at initial consultation.

Sport Injuries
Give yourself a fair advantage with osteopathy. It doesn’t matter whether you are a weekend warrior or an elite athlete, we can help prevent and treat many sporting injuries, including:
- neck and back strains
- shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries
- hip and pelvic injuries such as osteitis pubis
- knee, leg and ankle injuries
Seniors
It can be disheartening to reach a stage of life when you have more time for recreation, only to experience age-related pain and stiffness that prevent you from enjoying this new found leisure time to the full.
Children & Teenagers
Osteopathy recognizes the particular stresses on the body undergone by children as they grow from babies to teenagers and has developed an approach to work with children of all ages.
Pregnancy
During pregnancy, your body undergoes tremendous change to accommodate the growing foetus. Apart from the obvious physical changes like expansion of the abdominal region, hormonal releases can affect the function of your body’s internal systems.
Dancers
Dancers and gymnasts commonly enjoy significantly increased flexibility and range of motion which requires even more precise neuro-muscular control. To stay healthy and to minimize the risk of injuries an optimal balance between flexibility , strength and control is necessary. Osteopathy in combination with personalized Pilates training can significantly help dancers and sport people to stay healthy and improve their performance.
