About Us

Welcome Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine which recognizes the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Osteopaths focus on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function as a unit. They recognize the importance of modern medicine and technology and may refer for further investigations where appropriate.

Osteopaths commonly treat pain and dysfunction of the spine and body, achieving their great results via a hands on holistic approach. This means that the injured area is not the sole focus of the treatment. The predisposing factors ( postural strain, muscular imbalance or  faulty foot mechanics etc) are  looked at as the possible causes of the injury. Dysfunction in one area can profoundly affect and manifest in other areas. The goal of the  treatment is to address the causes of the injury and not just the symptoms. This is what sets Osteopathy apart.
